In the summer of 2025, Japan will host the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), held once every three years. TICAD brings together heads of state and civil society to promote sustainable partnerships between Africa and Japan. As a pre-event, “Sport for Tomorrow × Africa Action Day 2025” will take place at JICA Yokohama, aiming to strengthen bonds between Japan and Africa through sports and cultural exchange.

Our organization, Reaching Zero-Dose Children, will join this special day with a unique booth "One Cup, One Action", a collaboration with Satoyama Coffee, a direct importer of coffee beans from Ethiopia. You’ll get to meet Mr. Katsuki Onishi, Satoyama Coffee’s founder, and hear firsthand about fair trade and sustainable coffee production. We’ll also offer a free drip bag painting workshop for the first 50 guests.

From Ghana, Dr. Floret Maame Owusu will join us to talk about maternal and child health through interactive quizzes and honey sales from Ghana.

There will be many other exciting booths and workshops throughout the day, perfect for children on summer break. We hope to see you there!
