Reaching Zero-Dose Children and Health for all.jp will co-host a thematic event for TICAD 9 (The 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development) on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at PACIFICO Yokohama.
This event will facilitate direct dialogue between the people of Japan, as a supporting nation,
and the people of African countries, as recipients of support, to deepen mutual
understanding. It will also feature an interactive discussion between participants and panelists
on the future of sustainable support. The event will specifically focus on themes of high interest to the youth generation, such as
maternal and child health and sexual well-being, aiming to emphasize the importance and
raise the priority of policies in the health sector.

countries?"
Overview: This session will discuss the important reasons why Japan should implement
support for developing countries through ODA and foreign policy. Representatives from
recipient countries, Japanese parliament members, and youth who have long been involved in
advocacy for supporting developing countries will explore the ideal form of support in an age
of division.
13:30 Panel Discussion 2: "What social issues are important to young people?"
Overview: Today's youth are said to have a relatively high awareness of solving social issues.
With a multitude of challenges, this session will discuss which social issues are of high interest
to the younger generation and why. It will also explore how society and adults should address
this awareness.
