We are pleased to announce that the crowdfunding campaign for the Ghana field project has successfully concluded.
The campaign was conducted from February 1 to February 28, and we are deeply grateful for the strong support we received throughout this period.
Thanks to the generosity of 47 supporters, we were able to raise a total of JPY 460,000, surpassing our initial fundraising goal of JPY 300,000. We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to and encouraged this initiative.
Through this project, we conducted educational activities on vaccines and health in Ghana, visited local health facilities, and carried out interviews with community members and healthcare workers. These activities provided valuable opportunities to better understand the challenges of preventive healthcare and the circumstances surrounding zero-dose children in local communities.
During the visit, we also conducted health education sessions for children in schools and churches while learning more about the structure and realities of local health systems. The insights gained through these activities will contribute to future research, policy discussions, and public engagement both in Japan and internationally.
All funds raised through the crowdfunding campaign were carefully used to support project implementation, including educational activities, local transportation, and the purchase of materials necessary for field research and community engagement.
Moving forward, we plan to use the knowledge gained from this project to strengthen awareness activities in Japan and contribute to policy discussions in the field of global health. Our goal remains to build a world where all children are protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.
