Japan Announces 550M USD Contribution to Gavi’s Replenishment — Our Advocacy Efforts Played a Role
As a result of the advocacy efforts our organization has undertaken since 2023, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba announced that Japan will contribute 550 million USD to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance’s 4th replenishment (Gavi 6.0, 2026–2030).

In January 2024, Aomi Katagiri, Executive Director joined a delegation of Japanese companies, media, and youth representatives to visit Ghana and learn about maternal and child healthcare. Her reflections from the trip were featured in an article published on The Asahi Shimbun “with Planet”.
