The 40th Annual Conference of the Japan Association for Global Health was held at the Teikyo University Itabashi Campus from Saturday, November 1 to Sunday, November 2, 2025.

From our organization, Misaki Hiroya and Yuhei Hagino participated and delivered presentations.

Hiroya delivered an oral presentation titled: "Awareness Survey of Japanese Youth Regarding Global Vaccine Activities: Insights from a Questionnaire on the Gavi Vaccine Alliance and Zero-Dose Children." The presentation highlighted the ongoing challenge that awareness of Gavi and zero-dose children remains low among Japanese medical students, and emphasized that raising awareness among younger generations is essential for sustaining Japan’s leadership in global health. Following the presentation, questions from the audience provided new perspectives and valuable insights regarding the content of the research.

Hagino delivered a poster presentation titled “Challenges and Actions Taken by Japanese Youth to Address Zero-Dose Children: An Integrated Approach Combining Research and Advocacy,” introducing the activities and outcomes of our organization. The presentation highlighted the workshops we have organized, field visits conducted, and the process of advancing advocacy efforts in collaboration with international organizations and NGOs. Through the poster session, many attendees gained insight into our research initiatives and advocacy activities. In addition, participants working in public health shared domestic perspectives and personal experiences related to zero-dose children, providing valuable input and offering an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the challenges surrounding this issue.

Moving forward, NGO Reaching Zero-Dose Children remains committed to the zero-dose children issue through our approach of research, advocacy and community engagement.
